I downloaded this on my desktop computer.windows xp with lots of memory. It was very sluggish, the pointer was jumpy and the video inm the beginning kept skipping. I downloaded it on my laptop and everything is working fine. Windows Vista with more memory and fewer BF games loaded.

This happened on a couple of other large file games. I'm just glad it only takes an hour for me to download and that they will work on my laptop. This game is a LOT of talking and asking questions. Very dark game and a couple of x-rated words I don't like to hear. That was a shock to my senses, lol. All in all though I like the game, I think, but wouldn't be able to do it without consulting my walkthrough too often.

Actually, this has happened with several of the larger games that we have to purchase before trying. I am running a new system, 2.13 GHz - 3.37 gig of Ram - Windows XP and only run into these errors when using the BF large game files. When I frist downloaded the game it would freeze up. I had to turn off my firewall to download the game. But turned it back on as soon as the game downloaded. And it's working just fine now.Edited on at 8:47:12 AM PST.
Hi Everyone,I've downloaded and re-downloaded this game twice because of tech problems. Both times when I got to the end the whole downloaded packet was corrupted and it skipped too many parts and I couldn’t get a complete 'nice' ending - video and/or audio-wise.As for this game itself, I'm glad I play the games, first, before I let my grandkids play them. The story line and plot I have to say - are terrible. Big Fish better beware they don't get sued for such mind-disturbing contents. I did not find any warnings about 'Adult Content.'
Quazi-incest rape, patricide and infantside are not what kids need to be involved in today, nevermind playing games that reflect such horrors!Getting back to the game, the graphics could have been more colorful, as the intrinsic detail was fantastic and deserved to be more brilliant. The audio was alright, until the end when the whole game skipped like a bad CD with scratches. On the whole, this was a 'bad' game. I too, am having tech problems with this game. I'm now trying to download, for the 3rd time!
I'm at 48% this go round. The 2 times before, it got to the end of download but didn't download properly (corrupt files?), so I've yet to even be able to install, much less try to play.I'm running Vista 64 bit Business SP-1 and a brand new outfit that I put together myself, so I know for sure that all my specs well exceed what is needed to install & play this game. We're talking Core 2 duo 2.8GHz, 4GB memory, ATI Radeon HD 3450, a brand new 1TB hard drive, new DVD drive, new motherboard.the whole works is new. All drivers are up to date.I don't know what to think about player pat's review of the game. It would seem that his/her description is of very adult content indeed, and I agree that it's NOT appropriate for children.
While I didn't find a warning about adult content, there is a warning about 'Explicit Language'. It's in red at the end of the synopsis on the game info/download page.I also noted that in the required specs for this game, VISTA is listed, but no specifics on 32 or 64 bit. 64 bit is being used more & more each day, and software developers need to catch up & make more programs/games compatible with it. Just as it says you can run either Windows XP or Vista, it should run on 32 and/or 64 bit as well. Just my 2 cents.whatever that's worth!Note: I've gone to the help section (clicked on the green envelope just to the right of here), and I've read & followed the help for Vista users.

We'll see if that makes any difference in my case. Download is now at 50% but will still be hours yet.
If it still won't install after this, I will be contacting customer support.Edited on at 6:30:00 AM PST. Player pat says.' Quazi-incest rape, patricide and infantside are not what kids need to be involved in today, nevermind playing games that reflect such horrors! 'I expressed my outrage under Foul Language and both there and here in response to you I am frankly a bit disturbed that people are so blase' about it. Like I tiny ripple in a pond.no pun intended.
They just watch it go by and say 'well there is a warning'.and then go on about how their computers are hanging up on this game.Explicit language warning (which I didn't see) in my mind wouldn't cover the TYPE of content in this game. It's presented as a mystery to solve. There is no need for or relation to plot line, for Billy to say what he said about 'B'I'nai.'
Women have fought long and hard for respectful treatment and for this to be put in a GAME says through the action.' This is okay.'
I've played the German demo for this game (sinking island). You really don't need a walkthrough, I think as most puzzles are logical and consists mainly in you talking to people a lot. Afterwards you just take out your little pda and try to fit the pieces together. Very neat feature, imoThe walkthrough posted above is indeed from the Dutch site gamesover.com and as such it is possible that the Bert Jamin (who wrote the walkthrogh) used the German version of the game when he did so. Most Dutch people as most Danes learn German in school, so both Bert (and I) would have understood what people were saying in the German full version of the game.
Some os us even understand (a little) French/Karsten.
